Cavaliers 93, Wizards 86

I'm gonna say 'jinx' first before I give out the next stat!

79 percent of the teams that win game 1 in a 7 game series win the series. See, I had to say 'jinx!'

LeBron started off slow but then lead the charge with 32 points. If you saw any of the game, LeBron's acrobatics stole the show.

It was a great team effort. Wally Szczerbiak got the ball rolling with a great three pointer toward the beginning of the game. Then you had the tallest player on the team, Z, passing the ball off to LeBron rather than taking the shot himself. Every player had a hand in this win.

There was definitely more going on out on the floor than just a basketball game. The Cavs had taken 6 straight post season games from the Wizards up 'til today. Washington came into town determined to save face. There has been trash talking going on back and forth for weeks, even on Gilbert Arenas Blog. At the end of the first half, both teams should be commended for keeping their cool when emotions started rising. Both benches stayed put. That's what is supposed to happen.

As a fan, it was a great game! As an announcer, apparently it was a great game as well. They kept gushing over how this is the greatest game one they have seen in 24 years! It had great offense tandem with some well calculated defense. The game from the get go, no matter which way the score went, was a one possession game until the very end!

The Cavs proved WHY they lead the league in 4th quarter come back wins.

We have a long road ahead. But, at least for tonight, we can bask in win #1.

Onto game #2, Monday night at Quicken Loans Arena.
