WKYC-TV General Manager, Brooke Spectorsky, today announced that the Akron-Canton News, which was developed as a partnership between WKYC and Time-Warner Cable, will be discontinued on May 30th, 2008, due to economic conditions.
He also announced, however, that the Akron-Canton News Bureau will remain open and WKYC Channel 3 News will increase its coverage of the Akron-Canton area.
